Do you know when you just want to wind down with candles, a movie and a face mask? That's exactly what this face mask did to me. Lush's 'Catastrophe Cosmetic' face mask is perfect for winding down.
Can we just talk about the smell for a minute? Smells are important when it comes to a product like this, if it didn't smell good, I'd get put right off it. It smells like blueberries and clay. I applied it to my face generously and left for ten minutes before rinsing it off with water. When it started to crumble, I knew it was time to be removed. After I rinsed off the mask, I noticed my skin was rather dry and I needed to re-rinse it as there was still some product on my skin.
After I eventually removed all of the mask and I moisturised, my skin was left feeling soothed and it really calmed it. I did notice less redness on my skin, possibly from the blueberries I thought? Surely the antioxidants in the blueberries are good for our skin? Similar to eating a whole punnet of them, right?
I probably won't repurchase this mask from Lush, however I would love to try another one of their masks, possibly the chocolate one I've heard about?! But these masks seem the perfect addition to help you unwind.
