This lipstick was a huge treat for me. Being a student I would rather buy a weeks worth of food for the same price then splurge on one lipstick however it was a Christmas present from me to me as I worked at Next almost every day. Initially I had one in my hand for my friends 18th present but I fell in love with the colour, I had to treat myself.
The YSL lipstick
I purchased was in the shade 4 (Rouge in danger). The colour is a gorgeous rich, christmasy red. The consistency of the product is smooth and very hydrating. Unlike some lipsticks which make my already pretty dry lips even worse, this nourishes them and you can really trust it not to crack your lips. The packaging is classy and luxurious. Also I have to comment on the scent. It's a pleasing, fresh, sweet citrous smell to me which it always a bonus when a lipstick smells nice.
The only negative thing I will say about this lipstick is once you start eating and drinking, the gloss wears off instantly. There is still some colour left but don't forget to reapply straight after your meal. This is the only YSL lipstick I have and will buy until I have a full time job (!). A great present to ask for or buy for someone else.
