Scrubbing my face makes me assume I look like the lady on the advert who perfectly throws water on her face... Wrong. I probably look like a drowning rat. Nevertheless, I enjoy using a face scrub as part of my routine each morning to start my day.
I like to switch face scrubs up, I never buy the same one, this time I chose Clean & Clear Morning Energy Shine Control Daily Facial Scrub (wow, that's a mouthful) from the huge range at Boots as it's states it reduces shine. Plus I did smell it while choosing as smell does play a part when you purchase a new face scrub.
Well I've been using this every morning for about four months now and I do like it. It does smell brilliant (lemongrass and fruit extracts) and fresh which is exactly what you need in a morning face scrub to wake you up. It claims that 'The exfoliating beads help to reduce dead skin cells and oil, to leave your skin looking shine-free all day'. I have to say, I haven't noticed a great deal of shine reduction, however, my forehead has seemed to become less oily, which is a plus.
I don't think I would get this one again as although it does wake me up, I feel I should purchase one maybe more aimed at the bloody little blackheads that appear on my chin! If anyone has a recommendation for my next face scrub, please let me know.
