I wish I owned this product eight years ago. When I was 12 I had eczema on the crease of my arm (under my elbow). I wasn't horrific but it was very irritable and became dry, flaky and so goddamn itchy. But no amount of prescribed cream would ever make it disappear. So when I was sent this product from Shout Sales and Marketing (thanks again you lovely lot!), it did such good job I believe it would of cured me from my daily itches all those years ago.
Luckily I don't suffer badly with any form of eczema anymore but like most of us, I do get dry skin in some places. Unless I moisturise or use a magical product like this, I get dry skin around my nose, on my elbows and my heels also get dry when I wear nothing but flip-flops and sandals. I've been using the SELEXIR Peace Balm* for a few weeks now and oh what a difference. It has reduced my dry skin dramatically, honestly this is not a product to forget about if you have mild-medium eczema or dry skin.
The texture of the balm is rather thick and rich, which does make it hard to spread around my heels and I would suggest putting socks on after if you do apply to heels as it does feel a little stiff after application, so let you skin soak it all up over night. Warm it up in your hands to make it easier to spread on your face. It doesn't have a scent which appeals to me as I don't need to to smell if I'm going to bed, do I?
My nose has become less flaky- perfect for my morning makeup routine and my heels are noticeably less cracked and more smooth. It has improved my skins appearance and seemed to rehearse it. Apply on top of your moisturiser before you go to sleep and you can cart it around with you to apply a little here and there if you feel parts of your skin drying out.
All in all, this is a great product. This 15ml is £14.90 at the moment with a Summer special 40% off but a little goes a long way and mine isn't even half empty and I've been using it for over a month. I do think this would be prefect for someone who has extremely dry skin, so if that was me, I would consider putting this on my wish list.
