With all the 'smashed avocado on toast' Instagram pictures, you may feel like you need to go out and buy five avocados and consume them in a week. Well, if you want to eat healthy or clean, you don't need to buy one. Of course this isn't all you can do with an avocado, but I know so many people that cannot stand avocados. Or maybe you love them but need a slight change in your diet. After all, they are expensive and do spoil rather quickly. Here are some alternatives and ways to get healthy fat into your body without knowing they're there!

As you can see, the odd green fruits (yes, they are technically a fruit) are very high in fat, but remember, it's good fat.

Make Guacamole-
This is a perfect snack for sharing or just guzzling the whole bowl to your self. Get in some unflavoured tortilla chips, raw veg or just off the spoon- it's thats good. To make 2 and a 1/2 bowls you will need:
Mash it up and stir together and hey presto- guacamole!

Avocado Brownies-
Chocolate with healthy fat? Who knew of such a thing?! Try this out, you should have most of this in your kitchen:
Now all you have to do is make sure all the ingrdients are a paste (blend the avocado, eggs, vanilla essence and water until smooth and melt the chocolate and stir in the cocoa, sugar, baking soda and salt). Pop in a ready-greased tin and bake for 20-25 minutes in an oven at 180°C. Then keep in a fridge for you to enjoy!

Shove it in a Green Smoothie-
This is the most simple of them all. Pop some water into your blender with some ice, then add as much avocado as you can stand (or that is about to go off), spinach, apples, kale, grapes honestly anything. Or if you want to hide the taste completely, add two tablespoons of Nutella- trust me.

Avocado Alternatives-
There is nothing out there quite like an avocado. However, there are high-fat foods that won't give you a heart attack:

Do you like avocado? What's your favourite way to eat them?
