I don't know about you but this past week, my lips have become rather dry. The weather has suddenly dropped, causing my poor chaps to be overlooked and in great need of attention. I have to have a lip balm in every bag, my pencil case and coat pocket just to ensure they don't end up looking like cracked heels (no one's going to want to kiss a cracked heel now, do they?). Recently, I fished out my Korres lip butter, and fell back in love with it.
I've had this for a while and it has lasted me a long time. It melts at the touch of my finger tip and smooths onto my lips with ease. It's incredibly nourishing thanks to the shea butter that they put into it. It is traditionally used in Africa to protect skin and hair from the harsh climate. Recently it has been found that Shea butter also protects the skin against climate and UV aggression, therefore it'll soothe those irritated and chapped lips of yours.
The finish is shiny and tinted a plum colour and as it is Autumn, the berry tone is perfect on my lips at the moment. The pigmentation is brilliant, you may as well be wearing a sheer lipstick. Even after the shine has worn off, the colour of the balm stays for a while so it won't look to over the top when you're in the gym or at the shop.
It comes in a small pot which handily fits into anywhere I like. By all means stick to your usual Vaseline before bed as you don't want a plum colour smeared all over your pillow case, but this is perfect for every day wear. They are a little pricey at £8 from Debenhams here
, but they do come in a pretty box and like I said, last forever. It's a perfect stocking filler.
Unfortunatley it looks as if they have discontinued the 'Plum' colour but there are still more to choose from. Have you ever tried a Korres lip butter?
