After a long day, you may be tempted just to collapse into bed and fall straight asleep. Until my second year of University, that's exactly what I did but then I got into a bedtime routine and found a range of products that work for me. These are the products I'm using at the moment.
Rather Lovely Love Trees Organic Candle* £6.50
Firstly, I light a candle. At the moment I'm using the Rather Lovely candle in Trees and this doesn't smell like cut grass (thank goodness because I hate that smell), instead it smells like a fresh walk in the woods, which is totally calming. It's made with frankincense, amber and cedarwood pure essential oils- you couldn't get a more relaxing smell. This also has lasted me so long for a smaller candle, which I am surprised at.
Sainsburys Cleansing Wipes £0.90
I am honestly not fussy when it comes to wipes, I usually purchase whichever ones are on offer. I've even bought the Tesco Value ones! To get rid of your makeup, I can't complain.
Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover £3.29
The best eye makeup remover I have ever tried. Hands down it's gentle but removes every last inch of product off with ease.
PHB Ethical Beauty Balancing Face Mask with Tea Tree and Petitgrain* £18.50
Now I don't use this product every evening, just the usual time of the month when my skin is feeling run down and has a few unwelcome friends pop up. But this product really calms my spots down and reduces redness all over. It seems to balance out my colour and it feels very soothing when you're having a nice, relaxing bath,
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild £16.50
I have been using the three-step skin care system for a few years now and this is so gentle but does wash your face in the evening. It also removes the last bits of makeup on your face you may of missed with the wipes.
Clinique Clarifying Lotion £16.50
This is so refreshing on my skin, I love it. I've found it helps with dry skin around my nose and also helps with blemishes. It seems to hurry them up, leave and reduce the redness of them. Along with the soap, I cannot fault my holy grail skin care items.
Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Regenerating Night Cream £4.35
This is a rather recent purchase of mine as since I came back to Uni in this freezing house, my skin became very dry so I took advance of the 3-4-2 on skin care in boots and bought this for the night time. I chose the one for rather dry skin and I apply quite a lot of the product as I like it heavy and it to sink in through the night. In the morning it leaves my skin feeling soft and not dry at all. I may do a post on how I got rid of my dry skin soon.
The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lipcare Stick £4
My Mum used to work at the body shop when she was younger so when it comes to their best products, she knows. She always uses their lip balms and I can't fault them. The smell of the cocoa is one of my favourite smells going and when you use this you can wave goodbye to the chapped lips.
Rather Lovely Love Floral Organic Hand Cream* £10
Finishing off, I take care of my hands. A lot of people forget they also need a little TLC now and again. I use the Rather Lovely hand cream in Floral and it smells like roses and leaves my hands hydrated, soft and smooth. The packaging is light but looks stylish so you could pop it in your bag for a bit of hand care throughout the day.
Do you use any of these products at all? What's your favourite before-bed product?
