So if you've heard of Home Bargains, you know it's super cheap (says it in the name really). Sophie contacted me before the New Year asking if I would like to work with them to promote some health and fitness products from their stores. I mentioned in my 'Smashing 2016 Fitness Resolutions' post, no.7 was to set up a home gym. Pop down to Home Bargains and purchase some of their fitness equipment and you're all set!

Nutrition is more important than the gym. You need to be getting the right amount of each food group into your belly. When you're on the go with no time, it's not hard to heat up some healthy shop bought or homemade soup and pop it into a Soup Mug* (79p). These are microwave and freezer safe so you can heat it up in the office. The Go-Active Vitamin Drink in Mixed Berry Essentials* (99p) contain all the essential vitamins you need, perfect for a post-workout drink and they are so affordable. These may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they're worth a try if you struggle to get in all your vitamins.

The Pro First Protein Bar in Strawberry* (99p) is perfect for in-between meals as a snack full of protein. This tastes like a strawberry cake bar- delicious! The Pro First Meal Replacement Bar in Caramel* (79p) is a lot better than a Caramac bar and tastes similar too! Note readers- protein bars are not made for body builders.

Now onto the equipment. The Towel* (£2.49) is a gym essential; to wipe sweat of your sweaty upper lip and to lay over the bench for gym etiquette. The X-Tone Press Up Bar* (£3.99) is perfect for you to practice press ups with no one else watching. This will engage your triceps, biceps, chest, abs and back. The X-Tone Yoga Ball* (£4.99) can be used for more then working on your abs. You can do box squats (squat and go as far as the ball allows you), elevated hip thrusts, wall sits against the ball and of course all the ab work you can think of.

If you can't afford a gym or simply don't like it, take the time to have a good look around Home Bargains and you may be surprised the amount of great bits you can buy to get back to a healthy, balanced lifestyle this New Year.
