Yep, you read the title correctly, Avon. Now I have never ordered or tired anything from Avon, because I've never had a browse on their website and also I've never seen any reviews about them that has made me think, "Oh I must make an order from Avon". So when my absolutely lush Grandma bought me a few bits for Christmas, I was intrigued. One of the items was the 'SuperShock Gel Eyeliner Pencil', packaging of which is simple, black with silver writing. Plus each item comes in a box, which is surprising for cheaper end makeup so its perfect for gifting.
I'll start off by saying I am very impressed. This liner surpasses my MAC pencil liner. Now I'm not sure if that's fair to say as that is not a 'gel' liner but it is so easy to use and can be sharpened and doesn't require a brush like my other gel liners.
The liner is strongly pigmented and glides on smoothly, with no dragging. You can easily do winged liner, any thickness or smudge it under the eye for a smokey effect, it works both ways. The staying power is brilliant. The swatch I did on my hand stayed on for a whole day after I had had a shower and washed my hands a few times. But don't worry, it comes off your eyes easily with eye makeup remover.
It is the blackest of blacks and the only downfall is if you popped some on your lower waterline, by the end of the day it will fall down. But I have yet to find a liner that stays there all day. After reading more reviews, lots of people say that this liner is better then all high-end brands they've tried. I can't believe this either and I'm excited to try the mascara, nail polish and lipstick I also received from Grandma J. I wonder if they live up to this.
You can order it here and it's been reduced from £6 to £4!
Would you be up for trying this liner? Whats your favourite liner?
