Twenty-four hours shine free with one application? I need to test it out. That's what I thought when I saw the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Powder in Superdrug about a month ago. I was running out of my Revlon powder and wanted to try something new so of course I wanted to see if the claims were true and if it was a good powder.
The packaging is slim, perfect for carting around in a handbag and comes with a decent sized mirror. It also comes with a sponge but I recommend using a powder brush for the best results. Now it says it is 'waterproof' and I'll tell you straight away it's not. I applied a healthy amount on my cheek and splashed some water onto it and most of it came off. Of course it's not designed for swimming, so if you're dashing through the rain, you could be safe.
When it comes to powders, all I ask for is to hide my oily t-zone. The formula is very soft and easy to blend, perfect for me! I have tested this over a few days and I do need to re-apply it until after about five hours. I'm not sure if that's just my bad-ass oily pores pushing away the product or it doesn't do what it says on the tin. It does seem to cling on to the foundation, which is a little odd, but works.
I would say this could be a high end product, due to how silky it is. As for the time when it's applied and works, it really does work. I purchased it in 30 Sand, which I can only use when I've got some tan on me! So this product keeps my oily skin under control for most of the time when I'm out. I think this will be my go-to powder when I go out in the night as it's a little heavier. Plus, they are priced at £6.99 here, this powder is a great alternative to the Rimmel Stay Matte (all beauty bloggers and beauty lovers will know what I mean).
