I often find that people forget about their backs and don't train them. But wouldn't you want a sexy back? This is my favourite back exercise at the moment, the one-arm dumbbell row. You can go super heavy with this and surprise yourself! Your back is a huge muscle
This mainly works your mid-back (the latissimus dorsi) but it does give your whole back a run for its money. You can incorporate this into an upper body workout or if you're doing back. Pick up one dumbbell and head over to a flat bench and let your back do all the work.
How To Perform:
1. Put your right knee and right hand on the bench
2. Pick up the dumbbell with your left hand
3. Pull the dumbbell up to your chest, make sure you pause and squeeze here
4. Slowly lower the dumbbell down back to the starting position
-Keep your head up and eyes forward
-Try not to let your shoulder row down with your back
-Try doing three sets of 12 or four sets of 10
If you find this exercise easy, you're not going heavy enough!
Do you ever train your back?
