I think I've only ever done one tag post and it was a while back. Personally, I love reading about the writer behind blogs, it allows me to remember them a better. So Jo from My Pink Rambles tagged me in the Beauty Confessions Tag along with the best group of bloggers, so thank you Jo! Here are the questions and answers.
I tag the following bloggers to answer these questions:
1). What is your biggest beauty product addiction (lippies, blushes, highlighter, bronzer, mascara etc.)?
Now this doesn't mean what I have the most of does it? My products addiction is probably makeup brushes! I love comparing different priced ones and revealing to myself whether they are worth the extra ££s. They will always be used and as long as they don't fall apart on you, they can last for years and years.
2). How many products from your addiction do you have?
I don't actually have many brushes, half of them are in Bristol right now... I think I have around 40 brushes. Wait, is that a lot? I don't know! I can't control myself when I see the offer on Real Techniques in Boots (unless I'm on a spending ban). Plus I love asking for brushes as gifts because I know I will use them.
3). What is one type of beauty product you hate (highlighters, hairspray etc.)?
Hate? As a beauty lover, I cannot think of any product I hate... Something I dislike is eyeliner pencils. I have never found one that lasts and looks as good as gel or a pen when I do a wing. From my MAC one to my Rimmel one, not one has lasted me longer than an hour on my waterline.
4). What has been your biggest challenge in beauty (e.g. a technique you learned or leaving a beauty comfort zone)?
Probably my eyebrows, and they still are a big challenge! Every day they look slightly different and sometimes they go horribly wrong. Finding the right type of eyebrow product takes some time too. Any one have any recommendations? I'd love to try out some ABH brow products! When I'm earning of course.
5). What is one beauty comfort zone you don’t ever think you’ll leave?
Fake tanning. I'm not crazy about it but I usually apply it at least once a week (good old St Moriz). I think it makes me look a little healthier and really suits me. What's better in the world of beauty than having a fake tan, really?
6). What is one beauty thing you suck at (e.g. eyeliner like cat eye or taking your makeup off at the end of the day etc.)?
I suck at doing a cut crease. I hope you've all seen it (google it now) because it looks stunning. I think I need to work on the colours I'm using but I get bored of neutral colours so easily. Any cut crease experts with any tips?
7). What is one thing in beauty that you don’t understand the hype (technique, trend etc.)?
OVER contouring. I'm all for a bit of nose slimming and cheek defining but some artists/ girls on a night out take it way to far. I hope I'm not the only one who sees this and I'm sure one day I'll look back and say 'oh god Hannah, no' (I already have).
