This week is heaviest out of my whole second year at Uni in terms of work load. So I thought I would do a quick, small post for you this Monday and after this week I have one exam then I can really start working my magic for my blog (watch this space). I have a few new beauty bits I thought I would share and swatch with you.
Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Match Matt | £4.19
I have only been using this for a few days but I have found a decent replacement for my Clinique moisturiser (it's so expensive). It's light, smells lovely and looks beautifully pearly. It seems to have reduced my oily skin well paired with my Nivea post balm shave as a primer.
Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair | £4.19
I have had this once before a good few years ago and I'm so glad I repurchased it. It is so light compared to my skin colour it is perfect for under my eyes and I have started running it up my nose as a highlighter. I would recommend this to anyone (if you can get hold of one that hasn't been opened!).
Collection Speedy Highlighter in Pearl Sheen | £3.99
I have had my eye on the Soap and Glory highlighter stick for so long but it has been sold out everywhere I try so I saw this and picked it up. This is a beautiful colour and I reckon would suit most skin types, but I do find it a little awkward to apply. The result, when you get used to it, is lovely.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent | £3.99
This is another repurchase but I haven't had this in my collection for a while. It is great for a finishing powder to use all over your face that controls shine for a few hours but as it's so compact you can pop it into your bag and top it up in the day.
MUA Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit in Light/ Medium | £5
I have heard something about this kit so I thought I'd try it out for myself.
Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in Golden Bronze 003 | £6.99
After receiving my first one smashed, Superdrug kindly sent out another one. This is quite dark, but I'm planning on using it in the summer when I have a tan. The swatches are buildable.
Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil in 630 Nude Perfection | £4.99
This is so pigmented and I can't wait to cover my lips in it, it may be a dupe for Velvet Teddy, let me compare and I'll get back to you. The lasting power on my hand is crazy, definitely one to use when I'm going out in the day. Make sure you have a sharpener that fits this thought.
KIKO Smart Lip Pencil in 704 Brick Red | £2.50
I bought this on a whim when I popped into the new KIKO nearby and fancied a new lip pencil. Not entirely sure about the colour, it's quite a dark nude, but the consistency is lovely and creamy.
KIKO Eyeshadow in 167 White and 138 Matt Orange | £2.90
I was looking for a white shadow to use as a base and I'm hoping it would become matt if I wet it and applied it all over my lid with a brush. The red stood out to me because I'd love to trya red
First three- Rimmel Palette | Third & Fourth- MUA Kit | Fifth- Kiko Lip Pencil | Sixth- Maybelline Lip Pencil | Seventh- Collection Highlighter | Last Two- Kiko Shadows
As I am not as into my skincare as much as my makeup, I don't have as much to share, but let me know if you'd like to see a skincare hall too.
Have you tried any of these bits?
