After priming my skin and eyelids, I'll use a variety of colours from the Naked Basics palette. The options of neutrals scream obvious work lids and you can almost mix and match them all to create a different look everyday. Urban Decay are my favourite shadows, the pigmentation is like nothing else I've tried, plus it fits into just about all of my handbags.
Without a doubt, this is my holy grail foundation (along with Sarah Ashcroft, who doesn't want their skin to look like hers?). It smells fresh, it blends like a dream and as long as you add some powder, it lasts all day. It's easy to remove after a long day in the office and has never broke me out.
This product doesn't really need explanation for being included in this menu, but this concealer is very bright, cheap and doesn't crease under the eyes. I use a beauty blender to pat it out and never touch it up.
Before filling in my brows, I brush them out and line them with this pencil. Pressing very lightly I can create the shape I want and it takes seconds. There aren't many colour options, however you can get lighter or darker brows by pressing heavier or lighter. I've had this for about three years now, look how long it lasts! Definitely a clever buy.
Like most brow kits, it has a wax and a powder. I brush the wax through my brows and over any bald patches I may have then go in with the powder. The powder fills in every bit and makes sure the brows are the same colour all the way through. I have had the same brow products for so long, but they allow me to create any shape I like.
This is the most surprising mascara I've used. I wasn't expecting it to be so good, because I had never heard of it. You can read my full review on this mascara here
, but it lengthens my lashes so well and that is what I always go for in a makeup look.
I was recently gifted this by Urban Decay and it is my go-to mascara at the moment. I posted before and after pictures of my lashes here
, so you can have a look and read about it there but I would recommend investing in this product.
I, as I'm sure many of you have, have gone through so many of these powders. That is because they instantly make your face matt and shine free. I do have to touch this up throughout the day, but as long as it doesn't smash in your bag, it works a treat.
This is a new product of mine and although the blush isn't my favourite (it's a little too dark), the bronzer for contour is lovely, and only a tiny amount is needed to pop onto my cheeks and blended downwards and a little on the sides of my nose. The highlight is gorgeous and I also use it to highlight my inner corner to brighten up my neural eyes.
This MAC blush is very pigmented and one tap of the brush into the product is enough to dust over the cheeks. This colour is a dark pink and I only like to use a little of it, but it compliments the lips I have chosen and isn't to much for work.
This liner is a pink colour that I use with so many lip products. It is quite creamy, so it lines easily and you don't have to drag the product over your skin to make it show up. It lets me increase the size of my lips ever so slightly and I keep meaning to pick this up in a few more shades as it is so handy. I'm thinking a red next...
I went through a phase of collection these, but this matte one is my favourite. It smells minty and like the liner, is creamy. I usually re-apply this 2-3 times throughout the day, which I don't think is too bad going. The colour is a dusty, light pink which adds some colour to my neutral face.
I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into my placement next week and having my makeup planned out eases the morning and deliberations I would have otherwise.
