When you’re on holiday and you don’t have much time to
sunbathe, it’s always nice to look like you’ve been baking in the sun for
hours. The products I have been using this week in Malta have helped me achieve
the perfect, glow, bronzed look in the evenings.
One of my favourite products at the moment, Bahama Mama is the perfect bronzer to get the glow. It compliments my skin tone and really works well with the highlighter I use. Bahama Mama lasts all day/ evening without reapplying, so it's one less thing to take out in your clutch in the evening.
Ah, the highlighter which doesn't fail to meet expectations. It's shimmery, therefore catches the eve inch of the sun and really does make your face 'pop'. I find this works best if you apply powder around it, that makes your face matt while the highlight can be the centre of attention.
Perfect as a base for a powder highlight or on it's own, this cream highlighter can be applied just with your fingers. In Malta, I applied this on my cupids bow and the tip of my nose and you can really see it in photos, absolutely gorgeous and a steal at that price. It's pretty difficult to get your hands on but it's worth it when you do.
St Moritz has always been my favourite fake tan, because it's affordable and works brilliantly. I applied this twice on holiday and I looked like one of the Maltese. When I wear fake tan, it feels as if my clothes look even better, especially if they're lighter colours! You can apply with a mitt and wash it off the next morning and it does smell through the night, but the results are lovely.
This came with a Benefit gift set about a year ago, it is a glossy pink that I apply over any pink lipstick. It isn't too pigmented so the colour of your lipstick still shows through. I never buy or wear lipgloss, but I've enjoyed wearing this recently, next on my wishlist is some NYX gloss goodies!
Good makeup is nothing without the tools to apply it. This brush was worth the splurge. I use it to apply my highlighter and it picks up so much product, sometimes so much you have to be careful where to apply it but it applies like a dream. It is very good quality, doesn't shed and seems to keep a lot cleaner than my other brushes.
Of course I've included one of my all-time favourite products. This concealer instantly brightens up my under eyes and the bridge of my nose.
So those are the products I reached for most when in Malta. What are your favourite products for a glow?
