Being in London this month and with the weather so close and hot, I'm sure some of you can often feel the makeup on your face start to slide off. In order to stop this from happening, there are a few essentials I recommend.
When your choosing a good primer, look for an oil-free one. So as well as keeping your makeup stuck to your face, it will also help prevent a shiny face. I recommend:
High End: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer £29.50 | High Street: Nivea MEN Sensitive Cooling Post Shave Balm £5.35
This is actually something which I am not used to using, as I have only recently added it to my routine. It is a staple now, because I have seen the difference before using it and it is definitely a must. I recommend:
High End: Urban Decay Chill Make-Up Setting Spray £22 | High Street: Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Fixing Spray £5
For about four years now I have been using brushes. Without my makeup brushes to apply my face makeup, my skin seems to get dry and flakey when I rub my fingers onto my face (ew). So brushes are a yes for me. Just make sure you keep them clean! I recommend:
High End: ZOEVA 104 Buffer Brush £15 | High Street: Real Techniques Core Collection £21.99 for 4 brushes
A good foundation is probably the most important thing. Find out what skin type you are (Boots will tell you for free!) and look at what the foundations do. Voila, you can fight your skin type! I recommend:
High End: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup £30 | High Street: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99
There we have it, four tools that will (hopefully) keep your makeup looking the same from 9-5. What are you missing/ lacking from this list?
