Scrolling through my previous blog posts, I noticed I used to do a lot more product reviews and I realised I miss writing and photographing those kinda posts. I love popping a product next to me and practically studying it for an hour to get as much info as I can to my readers, after all, I may influence someone and I would would them to know exactly what to expect. Therefore, I am planning to do more product reviews, so here goes!
I actually have (had) this highlighter in the pink version. But my sister, being a typical sister, stole it. I was searching for it in my makeup collection the other week and asked her where it was and she replied "in my room", naturally. But to make up for it, she gave me her one, the Golden Lights one, which I intended to buy instead of the Pearl one... I digress, let's get into the product review!
So the packaging isn't stunning or the best quality. It is a round, rather flat product with a clear lid, which is good, you can see how much product you're getting (and whether its photogenic of course). The colours (black, clear lid and gold writing) are pretty and effective and do make me excited to try it. The shape of the powder is the coolest part. It reminds me of fine sand and is so sparkly!
One swatch on my finger tip with this bad boy and I'm a blooming disco ball. No, seriously. For a mere £3, this bad boy does the job it's supposed to do as a highstreet highlighter and more. Pigmentation is on fleeeeeek and has a lovely glow. It is apparently a dupe for NARS Albatross, which I have never tried, so winning. The highlighter will probably last forever as I only need to swipe my brush once for each side of my face and I'm good to go.
Sometimes I pop it on my cupids bow and to highlight my brow bone. I use a small detail brush to do this and it works like a dream.
The one downside is I do have to pop it into my bag on a night out for some extra pop halfway through the night. But for £3, I cannot complain.
Do I recommend it? YES! It wasn't featured in my October Favourites for nothing people... Here is the link if any of you fancy it!
